Gossip after market, Perigord
Gossip after market, many bastides such as Lavoir Labastide remain well preserved throughout France in areas such as Perigord and Languedoc.
The construction of this particular one in the study is from 1284 by Edward I of England, Duke of Acquitaine. During this era a large portion of the west of France was also undur the English crown.
The architecture of these buildings were largely similar with timber built frames and a market area (usually shaded) perfect locations for many painters. Russell Flint was no exception.
Recognized worldwide as a master of watercolour painting, Sir William Russell Flint’s work enjoys the prominence of some of the finest and most experienced paintings of our time
