The Judgement of Paris

The Judgement of Paris, the original painting sold November, 2019 in London for approaching £300,000 including commission.
The painting depicts Paris (son of Priam, King of Troy) passing judgment at a beauty contest.
He who is known for forcibly carrying off Helen (the Spartan queen) thus bringing about the legendary Trojan War,
The contest held by Paris (left of painting) shows him awarding the golden apple (centre) to Venus who had competed against Juno and Minerva for the prize.
